The Coalition for Disabilities Inclusion
There is a common misconception that those with physical and mental disabilities are considered “inferior” in our society, consequently leading to a drastic lack of support for this population’s well-being. To tackle this stigma, four youth-led initiatives joined together to create the CDI to promote disability inclusion. We actively generate opportunities where youth can interact and collaborate with people with disabilities, building connections based on mutual understanding and acceptance.

Our Impact
What we have accomplished and what we strive to do.
Amalgamating past actions taken by this coalition’s four youth-led initiatives, we have strived to provide physical, mental, and emotional support for those with disabilities; build an inclusive society wherein equal opportunities (such as in education and employment) are provided to all; foster opportunities for collaboration with the non-disabled to enlighten them on how erroneous their stereotypes and stigmas may be; and collaborate with like-minded stakeholders (such as prominent NGOs) to promote disability inclusion.
Going forward, we strive to scale up our impact to a variety of stakeholders around Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. In addition, we need to raise awareness on the importance of advocating SDGs 3, 4, and 10, and influencing other youth to get involved in the action.
